The following routes that are suggested are an attempt to get to know and interpret this region of chestnuts known as Trás-os-Montes! In order to link the five regional routes provided, we have created the Chestnut Tree Route. This suggestion is not a definite one; however, it assuredly includes the best things in an area where growing chestnut trees is present and a dominating activity, in terms of both the landscape and the region’s economy.
